Class & Workshop Descriptions

Yoga Classes

Joni teaches an eclectic style of hatha yoga that
combines flowing sequences with attention to body
alignment and breath. Sometimes class is a little
more gentle & restorative, sometimes more
energizing. Joni always takes requests - so if you
wish to work on hips, shoulders, or to focus more on
your breathwork, let her know and she will build it
into the class. Also, if you need to modify poses, she
will help you find the right variation for your body.

Meditation Workshops

Meditation is a way to access your inner self by
quieting your busy mind and focusing your
awareness on the present moment. Meditation can
lower blood pressure, reduce chronic pain, improve
muscle response time, relax the diaphragm and
internal organs, increase breathing efficiency and
lung capacity, reduce anxiety and stress, and
increase recognition of compulsive behavior
patterns.

In Joni's workshops, we'll practice several different
meditation and breath techniques (with stretching
breaks in between). Class will end with Yoga Nidra, a
deep guided relaxation.

Whether you're new to meditation or experienced,
join us and enjoy the positive energy and feeling of
community when we meditate together.


Partner Meditation Workshop
(for couples, partners, friends,
mother/daughter, etc.)

Sustaining healthy, fulfilling relationships (of any
kind) can be challenging, especially during times of
stress. Do you need to re-connect with your spouse,
partner, friend, mother, father or other family
member? Or maybe you're just looking for something
fun to do together to create a stronger bond?  

Come to the Partner Meditation & Pranayama
workshop. Learn to relax together and experience a
deeper connection through breathwork and simple
meditation techniques. This workshop is designed
to allow you to quietly experience and appreciate
each other's own unique presence, without allowing
words to get in the way of your connection.

Restorative Yoga Workshops

Nurture yourself and learn to relax deeply in this
restorative yoga workshop. Restorative yoga uses
blankets, bolsters and blocks to support the body in
restful postures. This encourages the body to relax,
open, renew and heal. As the body releases deeply,
the mind grows quiet and reflective, bringing your
whole being into a more balanced state.

Joni will assist you in setting up each pose, and will
also teach you how to pracitce on your own, so you
can experience this blissful state regularly!

Please bring 1 or 2 thin blankets. Studio props are
available for use, but are limited depending on the
number of attendees. Register early, limit of 15
students.

Private Instruction

Joni is available for private yoga sessions or private
meditation sessions. Instruction is available in your
home, or at a studio location that is convenient for
you. Pricing varies depending on location. Please
